Dear Parents/Carers,

As you have heard tonight Boris Johnson has announced another National Lockdown beginning at midnight tonight.  Boris has ordered all schools to close from tomorrow and move to remote learning until at least February half term.

Schools are expected to reopen to 'key worker and vulnerable children; however, this requires a considerable amount of admin and time to facilitate this.

Therefore, it is with regret that we will be closed to the whole school community tomorrow - Tuesday 5th January 2021 and Wednesday 6th January 2021.

We will be emailing parents with further guidance tomorrow, once we have received clarification from the Department for Education and the local authority.

We would appreciate it if parents did not call school, as we will be extremely busy trying to organise our communication to you and prepare remote learning.

We feel as frustrated by this late announcement, as I'm sure that you do.  Had the Government announced this last week, then this disruption could have been avoided, as we would have prepared this during the Christmas break.

We hope that you will bear with us.  We will be in contact via the Schoollife app, so please ensure that you are logged it to receive the latest communication.

Kind regards

Mrs Miller and Miss Stanton
