On the last day of school (Friday 18th July), school T-shirts, shirts or PE shirts, can be worn or brought in for the children to sign but these can only be signed after school finishes at 3.15 p.m., not during the school day. Of course, parents are welcome to join us on the playground in order to say goodbye!
We are going to end the school day with our traditional arch, so that children from Reception to Year 5 can say farewell to our leavers.
Any Year 6 parents who would like to see their children exit the arch need to arrive at the Year 5/6 gate no later than 3.10pm, so that they can enter the KS2 playground before the children exit their classrooms. Parents will stand on the playground by the climbing wall, behind the line. However, to
comply with GDPR and to adhere to our Mobile Phone and Camera Policy, we request that no photos are taken of the children on the school premises.
After the whole school have formed their ‘guard of honour archway’ (which will lead towards the KS2 gate) and the Year 6 children have walked through it, the plan is:
• Year 6 will make their way to stand by the climbing wall so that they can sign t-shirts.
• Year 5 will then leave through their usual gate at 3.15pm.
• Years 3-4 will leave through their usual gate at 3.15pm.
• Year 1 and Year 2 will go back into school and leave through their usual gate at 3.15pm.
• Reception will go back into school and leave through their usual gate at 3.20pm.
Any siblings of Year 6 children will stay with their class teacher who will dismiss their class and then hand them over to Year 6 parents in the KS2 playground.
