IMPORTANT: URGENT REMINDER ABOUT PARKING AND DRIVING CONDUCT
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are writing to express serious concern regarding the continued irresponsible parking and driving behaviour by some individuals during drop-off and pick-up times on Cherry Tree Road and other areas surrounding the school site.
It has been brought to our attention—on multiple occasions—that vehicles are being parked across driveways, residents are being blocked in or out of their homes, and some drivers are speeding in a way that is not only inconsiderate but dangerously reckless.
This behaviour is not acceptable.
We must remind everyone that the school is part of a wider community, and your actions have a direct impact on the safety, wellbeing, and quality of life of our neighbours. Blocking access to private property and driving too quickly in residential areas puts children and adults at serious risk.
Let us be absolutely clear:
- Do not block driveways or junctions—even “just for a minute.”
- Drive slowly and carefully—this is a residential area with children present.
- Respect local residents—you are parking near their homes.
If these behaviours continue, we will be forced to involve the local authorities, including traffic enforcement and the police, and provide vehicle registration numbers where necessary. This is not a step we take lightly, but we will act if safety continues to be disregarded.
We urge all parents to set a responsible example for their children and others in our school community. Please park considerately, drive responsibly, and respect our neighbours.
Thank you for your urgent attention to this matter.
Mrs Crook
