Comic Relief 2021

A big thank you to those who took part in our fundraising mufti day this year.  It was lovely to see so many children dressed in something red and lots of children even painted their noses red!  Together we raised £273.25.

Red Nose Day donations help tackle important issues including homelessness, hunger, domestic abuse and mental health stigma, all of which have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.  They support amazing organisations across the UK and around the world.

Here are some of the children’s thoughts:

Nursery

Joseph P: It's red nose day today. We have to wear red for other children.

Grayson: We have to bring money in today to help other children for red nose day.

Reception

Lyla: We need to help the charities.

Noah: We celebrated by wearing red clothes.

Amelia: We need to share a smile and make others laugh.

Ashleigh: People are in need so we help them.

Year 1

Harry H: It was a really fun day even though we couldn't wear our red noses. We still got to dress up and learn about other's who need our help.

Olivia S: Red Nose Day is important because it helps other people who are in need. We learnt about Ethan, who uses a voice box and a wheelchair, and how we can help him.

Ellie: We raise money for charity to help people who need wheelchairs or doctors.

Emily: I had a red nose to make people laugh.

Year 2

Ruby: The video of Ethan showed me that it is important to treat and help everyone equally even if they are different to you.

Tobias: Our money doesn't just help people in our country, it goes to children all over the world who need our help.

Jenson B - We came in our own clothes and brought in money to donate to charity. This money will help other people.

Evie- Rose - We learnt about a boy called Ethan, he goes to a place called Steps. The money we raise helps lots of different places around the world.

Year 3/4

Leonie: I liked Red Nose day because we celebrated the day and raised money for charity. We had great fun and watched a video about overcoming challenges.

Luke J: I enjoyed Red Nose Day because it showed us how unfortunate some people can be and how we can help them. I enjoyed all of the Red Nose Day activities, especially the word search.

Jack S: I really enjoyed the Red Nose Day quiz.

Year 5/6

Harry: It's nice to see that everybody in our class supported Red Nose Day by wearing red and donating money.

Daniel E: I enjoyed learning about children from other countries who we support with our donations. I'm pleased that everyone donated money to an amazing cause.

Phoebe: I liked wearing red clothes to school and learning about why we are all unique.

Tia: I found watching the video of a boy, who had cerebral palsy, very interesting.

Thank you for your support with this charity event.
