Dear Parents/Carers,

Phonics and reading are really important to us here at Blanford Mere.  Last year we invested heavily in our new phonics scheme Little Wandle, which was a huge success. 

We would like to invite you to a short meeting on Friday 12th September 2025 for an introduction to the scheme and how you can best support your child at home as they begin their reading journey.  If you are able to attend, can you please sign up using the forms tab on the school website ‘Little Wandle Phonic Meeting - Reception’. Friday 12th September 2025 9.00am-9.40am.
