Reception - Parent Meeting (Adults only)
Each year, we hold an Induction Session for the parents and carers of our new Reception children. This year’s session will take place on Thursday 26th June 2025 between 3:30pm - 4:30pm in the main school hall. Please enter the school via the school office.
The aim of the session is:
- To give you an opportunity to meet key staff
- To tell you a little about the curriculum that the children will experience during their first year in school.
- To give you information about our induction programme. This year we shall be inviting your children to spend all day with us on Monday 7th July 2025 (9:15am to 3:00pm). This will help the children to get to know their class teacher and make new friends. There will be more details regarding what to wear, lunch arrangements etc. at the meeting in June, however, you may like the advance notice for your diary.
- To give you practical information about school routines so that your children will settle easily and quickly into school life.
- To give information about our Breakfast and After School Club provision. We are aware that for some parents this is very important, and we do try to accommodate new reception children if possible.
- To provide an opportunity for you to raise any questions that you may have.
Please note that this session is for adults only, so we kindly ask that you do not bring children with you on this occasion.
This meeting marks the beginning of our partnership with you and is an important step in helping ensure a smooth and happy transition into school for your child. Even if you already have children at our school, we encourage you to attend, as the Reception curriculum has evolved in recent years and the information will still be relevant.
