On Thursday 12th June, there is a fantastic opportunity for children from year 6 celebrate and to take part in a SATs Celebration Colour Run at:
Summerhill School, Lodge Lane, Kingswinford, DY6 9XE.
Children will walk, skip, run around a course. Each time they reach an obstacle, they will have powdered paint thrown at them.
The event will start at 9.00am and finish at 11:00am. Children will arrive back to school around 11:30am. As this is in the morning, we are asking parents to drop the children off at Summerhill School at 9:00am. When the event is finished, the children will walk with staff back to school.
Prepare to be covered in paint! Your child will need old clothes (the paint may stain); an old white t-shirt is essential; old trainers and tracksuit bottoms or shorts. If the weather is wet, they will need a coat. Please bring their school uniform and shoes with them, so they can get changed once they have returned to school.
If you child has asthma, it is not advisable that they take part in this event as the powdered paint can cause breathing difficulties. Due to the nature of the event, parents and carers are required to sign a waiver before which will be sent to you closer to the time of the event. This can be downloaded and printed at home, or I will send a paper copy home with your child for you to return.
As this is within the normal school day, Summerhill School are not allowing parents onto the premises to spectate.
Places for this event are limited and will be on a first come, first served basis. Please complete the online form as soon as possible to secure your place. This is limited to 12 places.
