Each year, we hold an Induction Session for the parents and carers of our new Reception children. This year’s session will take place on Thursday 25th June 2026 from 3:30pm to 4:30pm in the main school hall.  Please enter the school via the school office.

The aim of the session is to:

• Give you the opportunity to meet key members of staff
• Provide an overview of the curriculum your child will experience during their first year at school
• Share information about our induction programme. This year, we will be inviting the children to spend a full day with us on Monday 6th July 2026 (9:15am – 3:00pm). This will help them become familiar with their class teacher and begin making new friends. Further details about what to wear, lunch arrangements and other practical information will be provided at the June meeting, but we hope this advance notice will be helpful for your diary
• Provide practical information about school routines to help your child settle quickly and happily into school life
• Share information about our Breakfast Club and After School Club We understand that this can be very important for many families, and we do try to accommodate new Reception children where possible
• Provide an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may havePlease note that this session is for adults only, so we kindly ask that children do not attend on this occasion.

This meeting marks the beginning of our partnership with you and is an important step in ensuring a smooth and happy transition into school for your child.  Even if you already have children at our school, we would still encourage you to attend, as the Reception curriculum has evolved in recent years and the information will remain relevant.
