Condover Residential 2025

Thursday 20th March (Evening) & Friday 21st March (Morning)

The children have enjoyed five activities today which were sensory trail, Aerial Trek, trapeze, laser conquest and the finale tonight was a Camp Fire!   This was such fun - singing, dancing, playing games and learning new songs!

They all had a great lunch; Chicken or Quorn Nuggets & fries or Pulled Pork or Vege Taco’s with rice and fruit!  They all enjoyed some free time before getting involved in further activities at different intervals throughout the day!  The children had the opportunity to purchase items in the shop, which for many was a shopping spree!

Teatime was very enjoyable for both children and staff.  There was a choice of Sausage & Mash, vegetables or Kung Poa Chicken, rice and plenty of salad followed by doughnuts and fruit.  The children have certainly eaten extremely well and thoroughly enjoyed the meals!

The weather has been fantastic!  After all of today’s activities, fresh air and food, we had extremely tired children!  The children returned to their rooms, had a wash, brushed their teeth, packed some of their belongings, had hot choc on the landing and then went to sleep!  All was quiet by 10pm with everyone safely asleep in bed!

Today, the teacher had great pleasure in waking up many tired children – they have packed their cases, stripped their beds, had a wash, got changed and went for breakfast at 7:50am.  The choice this morning was yogurt, cereals & fruit, eggs, beans, mushrooms and toast.  The children are going back to their rooms for a final room inspection and vacating the building, then they are off for their final activity which is abseiling and archery.

Afterwards, there will be an awards ceremony, free time and lunchtime before they depart.  All the children are extremely happy but very tired.

A School Life message will be sent to parents once they leave Condover, providing an estimated arrival time for collection. If you are unable to collect your child (and their siblings) early and would like them to remain in school until 3:15pm, please email info@blanford.dudley.sch.uk to let us know.

Everyone has had a fantastic time, and we can’t wait to share all the wonderful memories from this trip!

Thursday 20th March 2025 (Morning)

The children were all up very early, showered and changed before having a hearty breakfast. This included cereal, toast, bacon, egg, beans. Children are heading off to their first activity which is trapeze, sensory trail and laser conquest.  All the children are well fed and happy.  We have got bright sunshine, let’s hope it remains like this!

Wednesday 19th March 2025 (Evening)

By the evening, there were plenty of hungry children (and staff!) after a day of fresh air and adventure. They enjoyed a hearty meal before heading back to their rooms to layer up in warm clothes, ready for the evening’s activity - League Toppers.

Despite the chilly weather, the children embraced the activities and competed against each other.

After an exciting and busy day, it was time to wind down. The children washed, got ready for bed, and gathered on the landing for hot chocolate and biscuits. Each child shared something they had achieved that day and something they were looking forward to tomorrow. With many tired faces, most were fast asleep by 10 pm…..though not all!

Tomorrow’s breakfast was at 8am, before another action-packed day of five physical activities.

Wednesday 19th March 2025 Update – 15:00pm

The group arrived at Condover Hall at 1:30 PM, where they were warmly greeted by their activity leaders. After being allocated their rooms, the children collected their belongings.

Following a safety briefing and a tour of the vast Condover Hall site, each group was tasked with creating a team name. The children had a great time playing games, singing songs, and getting to know one another before jumping into their first activities—archery or abseiling! The staff were incredibly proud as the children embraced the challenges, encouraged each other, and participated fully or partially, stepping outside their comfort zones—well done to all!

Afterwards, they returned to their rooms to unpack some belongings before enjoying some free time. Many children took the opportunity to climb trees, rest or join in other games.

Wednesday 19th March 2025 Update - 13:40pm

The children arrived safely at Telford Park, where the weather was dry and sunny - perfect for an exciting start to their adventure! They had a fantastic time playing on the spider web, slides, and obstacle course. After enjoying their lunch, they set off for Condover Hall at 1:00 PM, full of excitement and anticipation.
