Dear Parents/Carers,

We are pleased to tell you that we have arranged an exciting trip for Reception children during the summer term.  This trip will link into our topic of animals, lifecycles and our heritage project all about farming.

On Thursday 19th June, we have arranged to visit Little Owl Farm Park near Stourport. The coach will leave school promptly at 9.15am and return at around 3.00pm in time for the end of the school day.  During the visit the children will get a chance to have a guided tour of the farm, an animal handling session and have the chance to learn all about faming.   

All of Reception are entitled to a free school meal, they will be provided with a grab bag for lunch.  Alternatively, you may wish to provide your child with a packed lunch from home.  Can you please complete the form indicating whether your child will like a grab bag for lunch, there will be a choice of ham, cheese or tuna or whether they will be bringing lunch from home?  Children will need to bring a small rucksack to carry their lunch and may bring 2 resealable drinks (please no fizzy pop or glass bottles).  Children will need to come to school dressed appropriately for the weather as we will be outside for most of the day.  Dependent upon the weather children will need to make sure that they apply sun cream first thing in the morning and ensure they have enough to drink.

We are asking for a voluntary contribution of £23.45 for the visit, this will include entrance to Little Owl Farm Park, a guided tour, animal feed, an animal handling session, coach travel and insurance.  Please note that if insufficient contributions are made the event cannot go ahead. Please make payment online via School Money, on the school website. Could you please make payment online and complete the forms found in the ‘forms’ tab named Reception Little Owl Farm Trip before Friday 2nd May.
