Dear parent/carers,

As you will be aware, Year 2’s topic during Spring 2 has been the iconic, infamous Titanic. The children have thoroughly enjoyed this so far and have thrown themselves into (no pun intended) the topic with enjoyment and enthusiasm.

As we like to keep things related to the enthusiasm of the children, we have been lucky enough to book an exhilarating workshop all about the Titanic. This workshop will be taking place in school on Wednesday 9th April 2025. The Year 2 children will be experiencing this workshop in 2-hour allocations throughout the day.

As this is an outside company providing the children with such an amazing activity, there is a small cost payable. The cost per child equates to £8.98 and is payable via 'School Money App'. We would be most grateful if this could be paid by 31st March 2025.

As part of the experience, please take the opportunity to dress your child up as a passenger/crew member of the Titanic. This could be as Captain. E. Smith or First Officer Murdoch in sailor outfits; a 1st class passenger in party clothes; a 2nd class passenger in typical 1900s workwear or a 3rd class passenger in mining attire.

We’re looking forward to our day and we just know the children will too.
