Dear Parents/Carers,
In school, we are encouraging our children to have a passion for reading. We are inspiring our children to ‘Read for Pleasure’ and develop a love of books. To promote this, we have arranged for each class from Year 1 to Year 6 to visit Kingswinford Library. Each class will be visiting the library on the following dates:
Friday 22nd September - 5/6MB
Friday 29th September - 5/6HO
Friday 6th October - 5/6AR
Friday 13th October - 3/4 JC
Friday 20th October - 3/4 MC
Friday 10th November - 3/4 DD
Friday 17th November - 2BW
Friday 24th November - 2JC
Friday 1st December - 1MC
Friday 8th December - 1JB
Each class will leave school at 1pm and return by 3pm. The children and accompanying adults will walk through the park and use road crossings to walk to the library. Please ensure that your child has the correct clothing/footwear for all weathers, as we know what the British weather can be like!
Please complete the online form on the school website in the ‘forms’ section titled ‘Library Visit 2023'. By completing this form, you give permission for your child to visit the library on the above dates. If your child already has a Dudley Library Card, please indicate so on the form. If not complete the whole form so that they can join on their visit.
Whilst at the library, children will have a chance to sign out a book, if their card is not already full or in arrears. Please note, these books are your responsibility as the library card will be in your child's name.
We are really looking forward to a fantastic time together at the library. Please complete the online form as a matter of urgency. The deadline for this will be Tuesday 19th September 2023. If you do not wish your child to go on the visit or give consent, your child will remain in school with another class.
Best wishes,
Mr Kimberley
