Article 2
All children have these rights, no matter who they are, where they live, what their parents do, what language they speak, what their religion is, whether they are a boy or a girl, what their culture is, whether they have a disability, whether they are rich or poor. No child should be treated unfairly on any basis.
As we come to the end of a very busy and exciting Autumn term, we would like to thank you for your continued support. It has truly been a half term full of learning, celebration and memorable experiences for all our pupils.
Throughout the term, children across all year groups have taken part in a wide range of enriching activities designed to deepen their knowledge and understanding. We began with meaningful learning during Black History Month, followed by important discussions and activities during Anti-Bullying Week, helping our pupils to develop respect, empathy and confidence.
Our curriculum was further enhanced through visits and workshops, including sessions with Yorkshire Building Society, cycling activities, and inspiring class assemblies, where children proudly shared their learning with the school community. We also embraced wellbeing and activity through Active Advent.
The festive season brought even more joy and togetherness. Pupils enjoyed visits to St Mary’s Church, the Grotto at Arise Church, Christmas Jumper Day, Christmas Breakfast, Christmas Crafts and Singalong, and a delicious Christmas Lunch. Singing for the community was a particular highlight, spreading festive cheer beyond our school gates.
We finished the term in style with our exciting VIP Day, a wonderful finale that celebrated the hard work, enthusiasm and achievements of our children.
It has been a term packed with opportunities, learning and celebration, and we are incredibly proud of everything the children have achieved.
Thank you once again for your ongoing support, we wish you all a happy, restful and joyful holiday season.
Miss Stanton and Mrs Crook.
Well Done Oliver S!
We’re incredibly proud to share some exciting achievements from Oliver over the past few weeks! He has been working hard across his sports to earn valuable house points for the Dudley Gladiators and has reached several impressive milestones:
- Completed his 25m swim
- Moved up to Grade 3 swimming
On top of that, Oliver recently joined his very first football team as the team goalkeeper, and just three weeks in, he was awarded Man of the Match! Well done!
Thank you.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our wonderfully generous local community—especially Kingswinford Morrisons, The Spa Lounge by Katie Hickman, and The British Oak in Kingswinford. Their kind donations made an enormous difference, and without their support, our school raffle simply would not have been able to take place. We are truly grateful for their generosity, community spirit, and their willingness to help us make this event such a success. Thank you for everything. An email announcing prize winners was sent on Wednesday. Miss Hughes and the Blanford Mere Team

Staffing Update
We say a fond farewell to Mrs Pardoe, who has worked so closely with Miss Davis and the children in Year 1DJ. She has been a much-valued member of the team and will be truly missed. We would like to thank her for her dedication, care, and the wonderful relationships she has built with the children during her time with us.

Nursery and Reception Grotto
On Friday 5th December Reception and Nursery were invited to Arise Church to visit their winter wonderland and Santa's grotto. The children had the chance to make reindeer food, see Santa and have some Christmas snacks. The children had a lovely time and even got a present from Santa. The children represented the school perfectly and members of the public even commented how fantastic they were on the way. Thank you to all at Arise Church for your generosity and for the invite.
Arise Church
We would like to thank Arise Church for allowing us to borrow a large number of their Christmas decorations. They have made all the difference to our grotto, and the cabin has provided a wonderful festive atmosphere.
Thank you for your support.
A huge thank you for all the wonderful support you’ve shown to your children and our school over the past few weeks. Families have enthusiastically taken part in our fundraising projects, joined in the fun at our Christmas Film Night, and shared in the joy of our Nursery and Reception Christmas Craft and Sing-Along. It was truly heartwarming to see so many of you in church for our Christmas Celebration, and your kind words and positive feedback mean so much, they make all the hard work behind these events absolutely worthwhile.
We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make Christmas so magical at our school. Special thanks to our superb School Business Manager, Mrs Hunter, and the office team, Mrs Needle and Mrs Alexander, for all their behind-the-scenes work, to Ruth, Jo, and Julie in the kitchen for supporting the Christmas Breakfast and serving a delicious Christmas Lunch, and to Mr Brierley, Mr Small, and Mrs Amor for keeping the school sparkling after all the festivities.
