As we head towards the end of our Spring term, we are looking forward to our usual celebrations with our Blanford Mere SHARED values day which will take place on Friday 27th March.
To start off the day, all children will attend a whole school assembly where we will celebrate and reflect together. The assembly will also include celebrating our VIPs (Value Inspiring Pupils). Each class teacher has chosen a child who has consistently demonstrated our school values, with the focus this half term on ‘ACHIEVEMENT’. Parents/carers of the VIPs have been invited to attend the assembly.
In addition, these SHARED values days also give everyone opportunities to try a variety of activities with a range of different children and staff and have been a hugely enjoyable way to connect with others and maybe even try something new!
As with the other days, children will be able to choose a number of options from a list of activities they might like to take part it. We have a wide range of sports, music, games, art, creative, computing and other activities on offer.
The rest of the day will be spent focusing on well-being activities relating to ‘Take Notice’.
Could all children wear their own clothes all day but please ensure that these (including footwear) are suitable for taking part in the activities they have been allocated. Check children’s planners on Monday 23rd March for confirmation of whether they need to bring/wear anything specific for their allocated activity.
Thank you, as ever, for your support this half term. We hope the children once again have a fantastic opportunity to make memories and celebrate with their friends before going off for their Easter break.
