Dear Parents/Carers,
We are pleased to tell you that we have arranged an exciting trip for Year 1 children during the Spring term.
On Tuesday 24th March, we have arranged to visit Worcester Cathedral. The coach will leave school promptly at 9.00am and return at around 3.00pm in time for the end of the school day. During the visit the children will get a chance to have a guided tour of the cathedral together with a variety of workshops that can help your children understand the role of the Cathedral in the Christian faith and how worship continues to this day. The children will also explore the events from 2000 years ago to discover what Christians believe and are celebrating in relation to Easter.
As all of Year 1 children are entitled to a free school meal, they will be provided with a grab bag for lunch. Alternatively, you may wish to provide your child with a packed lunch from home. Children will need to bring a small rucksack to carry their lunch and may bring 2 resealable drinks (please no fizzy pop or glass bottles). Children will need to come to school dressed in school uniform.
We are asking for a voluntary contribution of £20.10 for the visit. This will include entrance to Worcester cathedral, a guided tour, a full day’s itinerary of workshops, coach travel and insurance. Please note that if insufficient contributions are made the event cannot go ahead. Please make payment online via School Money. Could you please make payment online, in addition to completing the consent and lunch options forms found in the link below before Monday 2nd February.
