On Thursday 6th March we will be celebrating World Book Day across the school.  World Book Day is our annual celebration of our favourite authors, illustrators, books and the enjoyment of reading.  On this day we would love for the children to come to school dressed up as their favourite book character or dressed in their PJ's.  Please ask children to bring their favourite book in to share with the class.

The staff will be planning lots of fun reading based activities for World Book Day such as our ‘Where’s Wally Hunt’, Drop Everything and Read, ‘Read How You Like’ and lots of other fun activities.

We would also like to invite you into school to come and read with your child from 2.45pm on Thursday 6th March, parents you can dress up as well.  Please come to your child’s usual gate where a member of staff will greet you at 2.45pm.

This is always a fun way to celebrate the love of reading in school and get our children excited about books.  I am looking forward to seeing all of the different book characters across the school on this day.
