Dear parents/carers,

I am delighted to be appointed as the new Headteacher for Blanford Mere Primary School and I am very keen to get to know families, as well as the children and staff. I feel extremely honoured and privileged to have been chosen to continue to build upon the success the school has already achieved under the leadership of Mrs Miller.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. I have been a teacher and senior leader across Wolverhampton and South Staffordshire for 16 years and have worked as a Headteacher for the past 3 years, in South Staffordshire. I live locally with my husband and two children. I am sure some families may be nervous about the change, but please be reassured that previous routines and high expectations will continue.

As the Headteacher of the school, my main job is to make sure that your child is safe, happy and reaching their full potential. Families make an important contribution to their child's achievements at school, and from my experience I know that a successful and happy school depends on all of us working together.

At Blanford Mere, education is about developing the whole child and providing opportunities for them to flourish within and beyond the classroom. It is the aim of the whole school team to help each child become a successful learner and well-rounded individual who is ready to make the next steps in their journey.

I am keen to meet parents/carers to give you the opportunity to say hello and to ask any questions that you may have.
