Our usual end of term celebration with take place on Thursday 21st May with our Blanford Mere SHARED values day.

To start off the day, all children will attend a whole school assembly where we will celebrate and reflect together. The assembly will also include celebrating our VIPs (Value Inspiring Pupils). Each class teacher has chosen a child who has consistently demonstrated our school values, with the focus this half term on ‘RESPECT’. Parents/carers of the VIPs have been invited to attend the assembly.

In addition, these SHARED values days also give everyone opportunities to try a variety of activities with a range of different children and staff and have been a hugely enjoyable way to connect with others and maybe even try something new!

As with the other days, children will be able to choose a number of options from a list of activities they might like to take part it. We have a wide range of sports, music, games, art, creative, computing and other activities on offer.

The rest of the day will be spent focusing on well-being activities relating to ‘Get Moving’.  As part of this, children will be practising for their sports day races and will also be completing their ‘London Mini Marathon’ miles.  As PE kits will have been sent home earlier in the week, could all children wear their own clothes all day but please ensure that these (including footwear) are suitable for taking part in our sports activities.

Thank you, as ever, for your support this half term.  We hope to finish off our first Summer half term with a lovely day for the children.
