Dear Parents/Guardians,

Your child's end-of-year report will be emailed to you later today. This is a new way of sending reports, so please check your junk and spam folders if you do not see it in your inbox. The report will be sent to all Primary Guardians recorded on our school administration system.

The Government expects schools to report annually on each child's progress in relation to age-related expectations. Our assessment systems are linked to Development Matters (Nursery), the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (Reception) and the National Curriculum (Years 1–6). These assessments help us understand each child's progress, identify their next steps in learning and ensure they continue to make good progress.

The report includes the assessment codes used by the school.

The expected end-of-year bands are shown below:

Reception children are assessed against the Early Learning Goals within the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.

Nursery children will only receive a written report, if they are starting a Reception class in September.

Year 1 children reports and those Year2 children who retook the Phonics check scores will be included.

Year 4 children will include their Multiplication Check Score.

In addition to the school's assessment system, Year 6 have also been assessed using the Government's Assessment Framework where applicable.

Year 6 Writing and Science have been teacher assessed using the Government's Statutory Assessment Framework. Reading, Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (GPS), and Mathematics SATs results will be sent separately once they have been received by the school.

We hope this report provides you with a clear picture of your child's achievements and progress this year.

Please complete the online 'Report Reply Slip 2026' to acknowledge receipt of your child's report and share any comments you may have.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of your child's report, please complete the online form by Monday 6th July 2026 at 12.00 noon. The form can be found on the school website under the Forms tab. We will allocate a time and place a sticker in your child planner with the time from after this. If the day/time is not convenient, please write a note in your child’s planner.

Brief Parent meetings will take place on Wednesday 8th July 2026 from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. These meetings provide a short opportunity to discuss your child’s report – please highlight the section you wish to discuss before the meeting, if you wish to see the teacher. Most 

Parents of children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and some pupils with additional SEND needs, may also be invited to meet their child's new teacher to discuss the support and provision that will help ensure a successful start to the new academic year. A sticker will be in your child’s planner with the time, if this is the case.
