As part of our PE curriculum, all classes take part in a half termly competition based on the topic they have been focusing on. This challenges them to use their newly acquired knowledge and skills in a competitive situation, which contributes to their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social learning. Blanford Mere vs Oldswinford C of E Primary School Football Friendly
Blanford Mere recently took on Old Swinford Primary in an exciting 9-a-side football friendly. For some of our players, this was their first experience of playing a 9-a-side match, making it a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop their skills.

Despite a 4-1 defeat, the team showed great determination, teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the game. The highlight of the match was undoubtedly our incredible goal – an amazing lob from the halfway line that sailed over the goalkeeper and into the net!

Although the result didn't go our way, everyone should be extremely proud of their efforts. It was a valuable learning experience and a great chance to build confidence for future matches.
