Dear Parents/guardians,

Mike Wood MP, has invited all local primary schools in the area to participate in a Christmas Card Competition. He would be delighted to receive entries from EYFS right through to Year 6 and the best entries will receive a very special prize. The overall winner will have their design on the front of his Christmas card and there will be a number of runners up whose entries will appear on the rear. Mike Wood will be sending out his cards to Councillors, constituents and local businesses in Dudley South, to his colleagues in Westminster, and of course, the Prime Minister.

This is an optional activity but if your child would like to take part, then they can complete this as a homework task. This can be completed on a coloured A4 sheet of paper using a variety of resources of your choice.

All entries need to be returned to school by Monday 1st November 2021 and we will arrange for them to arrive at the constituency office before the deadline.

If you would like to take part, could you please ensure that all entries have the pupils name, school and age clearly written on the back. All children will receive a special certificate from Mike Wood for competing, and he is hoping to judge the entries in early-November and will be announcing the winners shortly after.

I look forward to seeing some brilliant entries and would like to wish you the best of luck!

Yours sincerely,

Miss Jordan
