Dear Parents, Carers, Grandparents and Members of Our School Community,
I would like to introduce you to the Home and School Association (HSA) at Blanford Mere Primary School.
The HSA is a group of dedicated volunteers who work together to organise fundraising activities, school events and community initiatives that enrich our children's school experience. We also support the school in a variety of ways throughout the year, helping to create opportunities and resources that benefit all pupils.
As a parent, carer, grandparent or guardian of a child at Blanford Mere, you are automatically a member of the HSA. We would love to invite you to become a little more involved and help shape another successful year for our school community.
As September marks a fresh start, we are currently seeking volunteers to fill five HSA leadership positions for the upcoming academic year:
- Chair
- Vice Chair
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Marketing and Communications Lead
Perhaps you already have skills and experience that could support one of these roles. Or perhaps you would like to gain new skills, build your confidence, meet other parents and contribute to the school community in a rewarding way. Whatever your background, we would love to hear from you.

Please don't feel that volunteering requires a large commitment. We understand that everyone has different responsibilities and availability. Volunteering with the HSA is flexible, and every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Even if you can only help at one event during the year, your support would be greatly appreciated.
