We will be having a brief meeting for parents regarding the Year 6 KS2 tests on Tuesday 19th November, 2024. This will outline the curriculum and expectations of the tests in Year 6.
It will be held in Mr Baker’s classroom at 5.00pm. Pupils do not need to attend as there will not be any provision for child care. The meeting should not take longer than 30 minutes and if you cannot make the meeting, all of the information will be put on the school website.
For the meeting, please enter by the Y5-6 gate (the middle gate on the path to the park).
What are the end of KS2 tests?
The end of Key Stage 2 tests will be completed by your child in May. The key stage 2 tests are timetabled from Monday 12th May to Thursday 15th May 2025. Your child will be tested in the subjects of Maths, Reading and Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar. The purpose of these tests is to assess each child’s progress throughout Key Stage 2. The meeting will inform you of the expectations of the tests and how you will be able to support your child in their preparation for them. There will be an opportunity to see study guides and test material that you may wish to purchase, or if you have any questions about the tests.
Please fill in the online form on the school website under the 'forms section' titled ‘ Year 6 SATs Parents' Meeting. Tuesday 19th November 2024 @ 5.00pm.' Thank you for your continued support.
