Parking around the school site

Parking around schools is often a contentious issue for local residents and Blanford Mere is no exception. We have raised this issue regularly and asked for your support, only last week.  Please park with consideration to our local residents – not blocking drives or parking in a way that endangers the safety of children and their families.

Today, we have had another complaint from residents on Balfour Road, stating that parents are parking on the grass verge, with the heavy rainfall, it has caused a mud bath and is a slip hazard to local residents.

We are now using a number of new entrances to the school which adds further congestion to the local neighbours.  Can parents please be considerate of our neighbours and the local community by not parking across driveways, turning around on residents’ driveways or parking on the grass verges.

Please remember that we have asked parents not to park on Mimosa Walk at all please (the entrance or cul de sac outside the main entrance to the school). Local residents have already informed the police – this may be followed up by the police and fines issued.

Thank you for help and co-operation
