Swimming Year 3
Don’t forget that Year 3 will be swimming every day from Monday 10th June until Friday 14th June. Please remember to send their ‘kit’ in on a daily basis. It is government requirement that children should be able to swim at least 25m by the time they leave Primary school. Therefore any KS2 children who have not reached that target will be asked to take part in a ‘catch up’ week. Parents will be notified of this.
Year 5/6 Freshwater Drama Group
Year 5/6 had a treat on Wednesday 5th June, when Freshwater Theatre Company ran a drama workshop linked to their topic of ‘Rivers’. The children thoroughly enjoyed the session and would like to thank those Parents who contributed to this opportunity.
I learnt what the start and the end of rivers are called. I enjoyed it! - Tyler (5/6O)
The drama session was good. I learnt so much more about rivers. It was fun to join in will all the acting. The teacher was so funny and good at acting. She taught me so much more and helped me with ideas for my English work. I would like to do it again. - Amber (5/6O)
The drama session was education, helpful and funny. Today I have learnt more about pollution and factories. I also learnt about rivers and what happens with pollution and how it can harm the earth. Mackenzie (5/6O)
The drama session this morning was amazing. We all learnt a lot. We all enjoyed it. The lady was really good and excited. I learnt what happens on the River Thames and how long it is. Rhys (5/6O)
Mrs Miller update
Mrs Miller is still unable to weight-bear on her injured ankle. She is looking forward to the cast being removed eventually and being able to begin to walk again! She is still busy working away at home – reports are keeping her occupied! She is really looking forward to getting back to school as soon as she is able to.
Nuts in school
Nuts in School - Please note that we have a child in school with a severe nut allergy. A reminder please that we are a no nut/nut free school (including Nutella). We really appreciate your support with this as the matter is extremely serious. Thank you.
